Edit: The first of his six mentions in despatches was for Egypt https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/29763/supplement/9339 Edit: Reginald Ford was the only Ford promoted to the rank of Brig.-Gen. in the Commands and Staff section of the London Gazette index from 1 January 1913 to 31 December 1915.
