It covers the story of the battle October 8, 1918 from which Alvin York received his Medal of Honor and became one of the US Army’s best-known heroes of the war. Instead of focusing on his “lone hero” myth that has been perpetuated all these years, the article looks at the perspectives of the other men to tell the full story.
