PaulC78 Posted 14 August , 2020 Share Posted 14 August , 2020 I've found this man in the pension records, Harold Gunn 745469 Royal Field Artillery, died after discharge at Locarno in Switzerland from TB aggravated by military service: He looks like a solid non-com case, except for the fact that I can't seem to find him in the overseas death records. It looks like his body was repatriated to the UK as a Harold Gunn of the same age was buried at Manchester Southern Cemetery on 17 Feb 1921. Posting his details here in case anyone else has a bit more luck!
The Inspector Posted 14 August , 2020 Share Posted 14 August , 2020 Hi Ancestry has his burial record transcribed as Harold GANN, Grave number 647 D section, Farmer, Southern Cemetery, Manchester. His widow was born Mabel Rose Bullingham, d.1977. Married 30/4/1919.Chapel en le Frith, Derbyshire, 7b,2283. Definitely the same man as the Pension Records on Ancestry here https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageviewer/collections/1114/images/miuk1914a_084615-01604?pId=2668075 Regards Barry
