seaJane Posted 12 August , 2020 Share Posted 12 August , 2020 Afternoon all, @kjharris has kindly given me permission to post this article by her, which I found on my system during a file-tidying session. Harris, KJ. Red reflections on the sea: Australian Army nurses serving at sea in World War I. Journal of Australian Naval History, vol. 6, no. 2 (Sep 2009), pp. 51-73. Best wishes, sJ Red reflections on the sea - Australian Army Nurses WW1.pdf
Bryn Posted 15 August , 2020 Share Posted 15 August , 2020 Thanks very much for that, seaJane. As the author says, it's an area of study that's hardly ever mentioned. I like also how she maintains a distinction between 'naval' and 'military', something seemingly being lost as everything is lumped together recently in many sources as 'the military'.
