This may be too much of a long shot, but any thoughts on this one?

One of the earlier battlecruisers, I suspect Invincible in early 1916 after AA armament had been added. The forefunnel was raised up in Feb. '15, after the Falklands battle.

I’ve got this picture of HMS Indomitable from the Naval Encyclopaedia ©, do you think it is her?

Another vote for Invincible. Checking the Perkins Bitish Warship Recognition Album 1, Invincible is the only battlecruiser with a structure that large jutting out on top of the bridge and the structure running from the front of the bridge to the rear of the forefunnel.

The top bridge structure on Indomitable seems to be a more complex shape made up of several parts

This is all too technical for me! But I'm very grateful for all the help.

Thank you very much :)

Both ends were pointy on a WW1 battlecruiser. Just more pointy at one end than the other.
