In my continuing research of the Death Plaques I have One has come up as a MC winner are the citatations available on line Maj C S Wilson Royal Engineers Wounded near Amiens France and buried in England so presume succumed from wounds.

Unless a New Years Honours or Birthday Honours promulgation,where Citations are Rarely Published,there is a good chance that his MC Citation was published,with a name like Wilson,though,you may have a search ahead of you,unless you have a Gazete Date,as unless you know his full Name{& the way it was published in the LG} it probably means searching by Surname!

Thanks for that, will this mean he did not get a citation. I will give the RE Museum a ring.

Probably not,there may be details in a Regimental Magazine,or the local papers where he lived,its always worth checking! ;)

King George V birthday was on the 3rd of June, so this was almost certainly a Birthday Honours award and therefore there will be no citation.
