This photo is on Ebay. There are markings on the fuselage but I have no idea, perhaps pals can elaborate on the scene. Note the dead pilot

This is a photo of the wreck of the Nieuport 28 of the 95th Aero Squadron flown by Quentin Roosevelt, son of former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, who was shot down and killed behind German lines on 14 July 1918.  The photo was, I believe, reproduced as a postcard and circulated widely in Germany at the time.
