Procedure for unwell soldier

Mangoman

Recommended Posts

The above man was permanently discharged from the 8th Somerset LI due to "fever, night sweats, tiredness, chest pains and weight loss". Would he have had to go through the same procedure as a wounded man before being returned to the UK? i.e. would he have to first report to his company/battalion CO first of all? Then where would he have been sent?
