Remembered Today:

No. 3 CCS - Gunshot wound classifications

Recommended Posts

I have found a record from No. 3 CCS for a lad from Netherton.

It is recorded that he suffered "GSW I, 1, IX, 4" - other lads had various permutations.  I can safely assume that the Arabic numerals were the no. of wounds suffered - but what was a I, II, III, IV etc.?

TIA,  John
