Remembered Today:

Royal Engineers Numbers

I am researching a Charles Leonard Bedford born in 1890 in Cogenhoe in Northamptonshire. All I have found of his millitary records are his Medal Roll and Card. From these we know that he first went to France on 4th October 1915 and he survived. He was first in Royal Engineers (No. 105822). He later was in the Waterways and Railway section of R.E. (No WR 252510). He had been in the railways before the war. Is there any way that I can get any further information from these facts about where they were or in which units or is this impossible? Any suggestions very welcome.
