Resurgam13 Posted 1 July , 2020 Share Posted 1 July , 2020 I finally got round to reading "The 2/1st London Field Ambulance : An Outline of the 4½ Years Service of a Unit of the 56th Division Home & Abroad during the Great War, 1914-1919" bought a few years ago and a small folded piece of paper fell out halfway. This turned out to be a pencil sketch signed and dated (1917) by E. L. Wratten who provided the chapter heading illustrations for the book (Lance-Corporal Wratten was also Mentioned in Despatches). It seems amazing it could have remained in place in the book for almost a century.
