Does anyone know which command/division the WAAC French Draft Depot at Folkestone (based in the requisitioned Metropole Hotel) came under, so I can search for details, assuming they exist.

TIA.

Folkestone Garrison came under Southern Command (HQ Salisbury (Tedworth House)).  Incidentally Folkestone, Hythe, Shorncliffe and Dymchurch formed by far the largest complex of transit and training camps for the Canadian Expeditionary Force.

Glad to help a little.  Apologies for delay with the other matter, I should have sent you a brief holding reply.  I’ll look into the matter and get back to you.
