Mac657 Posted 4 June , 2020 Share Posted 4 June , 2020 Researching the extensive service records of a relative of mine who served with 3rd battalion, AIF and noticed an entry for his unit on a couple of pages that i don't recognise. On a few pages it states as "7th R.of 3rd bn". What does "7th R." relate to ? There is an obscured stamp on the first page that partially shows "7 RE** 3BATT". Many thanks. Mac. Keith_history_buff Posted 4 June , 2020 Share Posted 4 June , 2020 All being well, your relative should appear on the followinghttps://www.aif.adfa.edu.au/showUnit?unitCode=INF3REIN7
Mac657 Posted 4 June , 2020 Author Share Posted 4 June , 2020 Thanks for that Keith, he most certainly does. Richard Joseph Parr , a young english lad who ended up well and truly in the thick of it with the Aussies. First time that I've studied Australian service records and I'm impressed with their clarity and quality.
