Looking at the M.I.Card for Lieut. Capt. D. M. Anderson Welsh Regiment. Awarded M.C. And M.I.D. Can any member tell me where he was born. His address on the card is France. And was he awarded a G.S,Medal. Can’t make out the hand writing.  Thank you.   Lyn.

His full name was Donald MacKenzie Anderson and I believe he was born on 31 March 1887, birth registration 1887 quarter 2 Brentford, Middlesex Registration District. There is a baptism record on ancestry.co.uk for a Donald MacKenzie Anderson, born 31 March 1887, who was baptised at Turnham Green with Gunnersbury Church, Hounslow on 8 May 1887. His parents details were given as - father: William John Anderson, District Judge Jamaica; mother: Mary Dora Somerville [Anderson]; address: 35, Heathfield Gardens, Gunnersbury.
