Preservation at last

Good to see that some French authorities are preserving vestiges, which often are demolished for industry, housing etc.

At Avesnes, near the Grevillers crossroads, the architect for the agricultural cooperative has designed the access road to avoid the old British bunker.

At Coisy, housebuilders have to avoid the Moir Pill Box; a report a while ago to the Maire saying it was a rare fully-intact example of 1918 Amiens defences, and mentioning Winston Churchill, seems to have have had some influence.

Glad to see these examples, having seen so many destroyed over the years.

Wow.. A plus indeed. Thanks for posting. For those who pass them, a constant reminder of the sacrifice.

Thanks.

Thanks for letting us know - it is always great to see these still standing.
