Many thanks all I knew was his details stamped around victory medal , I have subscribed to ancestry but couldn't even find his Mic know there so i appreciate that

there was a gap in the numbers when you search which prob didnt help

I can tell from his number that he joined No.2 Depot RFA, Preston in February 1917.

After that it is very difficult to trace his movements without a service record.
