Rum Ration Posted 13 April , 2020 Share Posted 13 April , 2020 Should a wartime British shovel have a Broad Arrow mark?
wainfleet Posted 14 April , 2020 Share Posted 14 April , 2020 I don't think so. I've just checked my 1918 GS spade and that doesn't have anything other than the maker name and the date. Yours looks just fine.
Dave1418 Posted 15 April , 2020 Share Posted 15 April , 2020 (edited) Hi I’ve had several WW1 dated shovels over the years and including the three I still have none of them have ever had a board arrow. Lots of makers marks and date stamps clearly visible. There has been a previous thread on this in which I’ve posted some images Edited 15 April , 2020 by Dave1418 Additional information
