mbriscoe Posted 8 April , 2020 Share Posted 8 April , 2020 I was updating some War Memorial information yesterday and came across a Seaforth Highlanders WW1 memorial plaque in a church in Leicester. There are copies of this same plaque in various places. I could not find a report on the unveiling of this one but did find the unveiling of one in Derby which said the Midlands branch had several branches. It got me wondering whether the Derby branch might have closed and the plaque moved. I can't find a contact EMail for a Seaforths regimental association in the midlands or even South of the border. Anyone know anything about this series of memorial or have a contact I could ask?
Steven Broomfield Posted 8 April , 2020 Share Posted 8 April , 2020 The Highlanders Regimental Museum at Fort George might be worth a try.
mbriscoe Posted 8 April , 2020 Author Share Posted 8 April , 2020 Yes, I was hoping there might be somebody closer to the area who would have local knowledge.
