Guest Posted 4 April , 2020 Share Posted 4 April , 2020 Hello, I'm hoping someone can offer some assistance in deciphering the following units that are some Victory Medals that I purchased from the Estate of a late collector. I've searched online yet no success. The following are: M.A.A.C. A.B.R.N. C.M.M.R.N.V.R. As easy to answer for those with great experience and knowledge for me I am asking from a position of ignorance. Thank you all very much for your time and consideration. HarryBrook Posted 4 April , 2020 Share Posted 4 April , 2020 Welcome to the forum Balkanboy1313. In reverse order:- C.M.M.R.N.V.R. is Chief Motor Mechanic Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, A.B.R.N. is Able Seaman Royal Navy. The M.A.A. of the M.A.A.C. abbreviation you would expect to be Master at Arms but I do not know what the C then stands for.

Jim Strawbridge Posted 4 April , 2020 Share Posted 4 April , 2020 I think that the Q is missing and that it is Queen Mary;s Auxiliary Army Corps.
PhilB Posted 4 April , 2020 Share Posted 4 April , 2020 In which case the rank would probably be WKR (worker)?
