Treaders Posted 26 March , 2020 Share Posted 26 March , 2020 Hi, I’m currently researching my great grandfather, C A L Treadwell. He was in the NZ Expeditionary Force and fought at the Somme, Passchendaele and Messine most notably. I’ve learnt a lot from his book, ‘recollections of an amateur soldier’, but am always keen to find more information about him. I believe he was acting adjutant in his battalion so I was keen to get hold of the relevant war diary as there is a good chance it was written by him. Does anyone have a copy by chance or any tips on how to locate it? All the best, Jamie

Mark1959 Posted 26 March , 2020 Share Posted 26 March , 2020 (edited) Not sure they have been digitised. But http://nzetc.victoria.ac.nz/tm/scholarly/tei-WH1-Well.html is a regiment history and he is one of authors. Suspect it would draw heavily on the war diaries click on the links to read Edited 26 March , 2020 by Mark1959
