Hello all, I am hoping to visit Noordemdhoek in a few weeks with a friend who's great uncle Private RH Grunwell 31374 was killed there on 30/10/17 with the 12/13th Northumberland Fusileers. He is commemorate don the Tyne Cot Memorial. I am having difficulty finding its location on my maps and on line. It does appear on old maps but I was wondering if its name has changed or if it is a name of a district now subsumed into another. With thanks.

Gerry

Many thanks both.

Yes its NE of Polygon and on the road from Beselare to Broodseinde

I will search on the new spelling(the spelling I used was from a WW1 map and also spelt as such in the 12/13th war diary for that date.

Best wishes
