I understand that the Battalion were in the Cripps Cut and Cardiff Street trenches on the morning of 1st July 1916.

Does anyone have a trench map or co-ordinates showing where those were located?

Many thanks

Funny, I was checking Rat's Alley but at a bit slower pace than Jon!  Rat's Alley has no Cripps Cut but has Cardiff Street but no named trenches from National Library of Scotland.

Here at the top of the image is Cripp's Cut from McMaster University right so full points to Jon!  It's a 28/4/1916 map.

Many thanks - great map

I use the National Library of Scotland maps but, as you say, no British trench names for the period in question.
