mark holden Posted 23 February , 2020 Share Posted 23 February , 2020 A couple of recent Greatcoat pick ups. Firstly a Great Coat Mounted Services. Very Grubby and when I bought it missing all its buttons less for the epaulettes. It came with a set of 1915 dated Drivers leather leggings sadly no name on either piece. The coat has a burn to the rear skirt with a period repair.
mark holden Posted 23 February , 2020 Author Share Posted 23 February , 2020 Dismounted Greatcoat Pattern 8109/1914. No official markings at all just a faint service number also evidence of large triangular battle patches to both sleeves. Five holes to each epaulette strongly indicate a TF issued piece. FROGSMILE Posted 23 February , 2020 Share Posted 23 February , 2020 (edited) The 1914 pattern is in extraordinary condition for a woollen garment over 100 years old, Mark. Thank you for posting it. Edited 23 February , 2020 by FROGSMILE
