Guest Posted 19 February , 2020 Share Posted 19 February , 2020 Hello Here I have a newly discovered snap of my grandfather William Robert Bissell. Until this surfaced we had no idea that he even served, however it may have been at the late end of WWI as he was born in Sept 1900. He lived in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire and the local Regiment was the Duke of Wellingtons, however the cap badge doesn't seem right. Another avenue of thought is the Warwickshire's, but again it doesn't look right. Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks Chris

TullochArd Posted 21 February , 2020 Share Posted 21 February , 2020 (edited) No drama Chris. Have a look at the following site and you'll get see a few photos of the Leeds UOTC individuals wearing this earlier cap badge. You will also see a photo with a (slightly better) view of the shoulder title your grandfather is wearing. blogs.mhs.ox.ac.uk/innovatingincombat/leeds-university-officers-training-corps-otc-signalling-world-war-one/ Edited 21 February , 2020 by TullochArd
