Guest Posted 23 January , 2020 Share Posted 23 January , 2020 (edited) Thank you for the addition. i just watched two films this past week; “1917”, and “The Great War”. It was nice to see the sacrifices from 100 years ago still remembered. i dusted off and oiled a few rifles from the past; an Enfield rifle No. III Mk1, a WRA Pattern 14 still with “Volley sights”, and an early EDDYSTONE No.61xxx with a barrel date of 10-17. I feel honored that I was in the right place at the right time... this week it was time to find a couple vintage bayonets for these. the 1907 came today; it is a Wilkinson Pall Mall with a 6 18 date. Quite impressive long bayonet when mounted; the walnut grip matches the stock most wonderfully. not to be outdone is the Rem 1917 bayonet mounted on the 26inch barreled M1917... I feel like an amateur Lancer... Edited 23 January , 2020 by Guest Photo omission

Nice to see a WILKINSON PALL MALL, and an interesting 're-issue' date on it, for (19)28. Trajan
