Langdon Posted 13 January , 2020 Share Posted 13 January , 2020 The relevant 7th Battalion RF war diary is available on Ancestry or downloadable here at the National Archives. There are also 190 Brigade Brigade and Headquarters diaries available. The NLS map nearest to date that I could find is here - you'll see "Red Cut" in square N1 - this is referred to as the battalion's assembly position to which it withdrew after heavy losses..
