Snowyred Posted 12 January , 2020 Share Posted 12 January , 2020 Afternoon everyone I'm trying to find the period of service for these ships that served as hospital ships during ww1. I've already found a large number but still have quite a few out standing to complete. Where can I find this information for the following ships.== Ascania, Alaunia, Canada, Clan Macgillivary, Cawdor Castle, Caledonia, Devahna, Esmeraldas, Franconia, Lutzow, Prince of Wales, Rewa, Royal George, Royalty, Somali, Soudan, Southland. Any help appreciated. Many thanks
seaJane Posted 12 January , 2020 Share Posted 12 January , 2020 Rewa's details are on https://www.naval-history.net/WW1NavyBritishShips-Dittmar5Support.htm, probably worth checking on there for RN commissioned vessels. I think the site does not include ships taken up from trade by the Army (am not certain), but in those cases Wikipedia or https://www.qaranc.co.uk/hospitalships.php may have the information. Ship's code was C-8160. Mike
