Possibly Dr George Gordon Campbell. Apparently wounded in the shoulder at Gallipoli at some point and later transferred to the RFC

 

Seems to have served with 26 (South Africa) Squadron in Dar-es-Salaam in 1917/8.

As the 2nd North Midlands Brigade R.F.A. was raised mainly in Staffordshire a check on the 1939 Register for a probable George Campbell based there finds, at 218, Queens Road, Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent, George Campbell, born 22 May 1890, married, glazed and floor tile manufacturer and Reserve T. A. Major. His wife was Winifred Agnes Campbell born 10 March 1888. George Campbell died, at this address, on 30 March 1973 and Winifred Agnes Campbell on 28 April 1973.
