Attack on High Wood 23 July 1916

B coy 9th Royal Scots were subjected to heavy shelling and came under machine gun fire during the attack on High Wood Somme. Trench map coordinates according to the war diary are S4a 1.8 - S3b 7.8

Also S3d

I need help finding these locations. 

Any help is much appreciated.

As Jon says, tMapper can plot 'from' and 'to' locations and draw a boundary using the Bulk Convert function:

The entire map  shows a view of High Wood from the closest road to your co-ordinate pair.  Square S.3.d covers what is now the London CWGC Cemetery & Extension.  NLS has around 13 maps from 1916 to 1918.  Click on this image to enlarge:
