Khaki Posted 30 November , 2019 Share Posted 30 November , 2019 I wonder if anyone else did as I did, when my son was old enough to remember , he's now in his early 40's and realizing that our WW1 vets were fading away I took him to visit as many as I could find so he would have a personal connection that he could talk to his children about, one old soldier had published a book about his experiences and it also contained photos of him in 1915 and also in old age as my son would have remembered him, he autographed the GW photo not forgetting to include his service number and artillery unit. For those members who have children I would recommend a similar concept for ww2 not forgetting the survivors of the blitz. Good luck khaki
johntaylor Posted 1 December , 2019 Share Posted 1 December , 2019 Great idea - and even better to tape record interviews if you get the chance. These are precious and irreplaceable records. All the best, John
