I got paid for standing £75 in a muddy field overlooking a patch of scrubland explaining to Iolo Williams why we couldn't find a Great Grey Shrike. They didn't use the clip. They didn't use the clip. Lucky you. I think my mud was worse than yours. I was in my office when the crash happened, and had to get to the site dressed in office clothes and highly unsuitable shoes (and the mud was deeper than my walking stick off the path.
