RAF MIC?

Are medal index cards for army only? I was wondering if my gt grandfather would have been entitled to any medal ? he joined up very late (18th september 1918) and very underage (15). I've looked for a MIC but no joy so not sure if the RAF would have had them or he just didn't serve long enough during the war?

I think the medal awards/ entitlements appear in the RAF Airmen's Records at TNA and available online at findmypast.

Hi,

The RAF did not issue mics, they were an army form. If he was entitled to medals there would normally be something within his RAF Paperwork. Can you give us his details and we may be able to enlighten you on the subject.
