Remembered Today:

Protestants in the Bavarian Army?

While Bavaria is a predominately Catholic country, I was interested in learning if anyone knows of Protestant soldiers in the Bavarian army durig the War. I expect most were from the Franconia and Palatine regions annexed by Bavaria in 1815, but it could be interesting if there were any from Altbayern.

Yes of course, there were quite a bit of protestants (and Jews) living in Bavaria and serving in the Bavarian army.

... and the other way round: There were also Bavarian and Baden Württembergian catholics serving in Northern German units among protestants. Confession was not a big issue.
