Ed Matthews Posted 6 February , 2005 Share Posted 6 February , 2005 I'm presently researching the life and service of Reverend Samuel Howard HALL who, I understand, served as a Senior Chaplain (Colonel) with the 49th (West Riding) Division in 1915. I would be interested to know if any PAL with an interest in the 49th has ever come across Revd. Hall or has any further information on him. Audax Posted 18 October , 2005 Share Posted 18 October , 2005 The Reverend Hall was a Chaplain to the Territorial Army - served with BEF , 1915. Then returned home serving as an Officiating Clergyman to the troops in Wakefield 1916-19. Source: Crockfords Clerical Directory
