Perth Digger Posted 25 October , 2019 Share Posted 25 October , 2019 I'd appreciate help in finding the position of 57C.S.30.d.15.70 on the 1:20000 Longueval trench map. According to the CWGC records, this is the position where the remains of Captain William Nickson, 19th King's Liverpool Regiment, were found in 1931. Perth Digger Posted 25 October , 2019 Author Share Posted 25 October , 2019 Thanks to both of you. It may interest you to know that a returned POW in 1919 reported that Nickson had been shot by a German officer for refusing to hand over his revolver.
