The bayonet is in impressive condition. I expect the rifle got hit by a plough to get bent into that shape.

Plough would not bend it. Probably weight of earth.

Ha, ha! As we know a bent barrel is as accurate as a straight one. It's the sights that can be tricky.

There was a later Sturmgewehr with a Krummlauf, but it wasn't as krumm as that.
