mutley Posted 29 September , 2019 Share Posted 29 September , 2019 Can any pal suggest where these two organisations were in late 1917. I am trying to work my way through the record of a chap in the Devonshire Regiment who seems to spend a lot of time in the medical system. For one of his many periods of wounding/sickness he seems to be in the following locations/units: 06 10 17 15 CCS 06 10 17 10 Corps 08 10 17 1 Can Gen Hosp 24 10 17 6 Con Depot 26 10 17 14 Con Depot He was wounded in December 1914 and then again in October 1916, any help appreciated. IPT Posted 29 September , 2019 Share Posted 29 September , 2019 As far as I can see, 14 Convalescent Depot was at Tourville, and 6 Convalescent Depot was at Etaples. Hopefully someone can confirm this.
mutley Posted 29 September , 2019 Author Share Posted 29 September , 2019 Many thanks. The chap in question spends a great deal of time in and out of the medical system even before the war when he is based in Crete, Malta and Egypt. During the war he is wounded first in 1914 with a GSW to the left leg and foot, in October 1916 he is again wounded and repatriated and then finally in 1917 he gets a GSW to the shoulder. He also has repeated bouts of myalgia and influenza.
