Guest Posted 19 August , 2019 Share Posted 19 August , 2019 Hello! I found this in a field near Hooge and Ypres. I wasn’t sure if it was a fuse head or grenade, since I haven’t come across something this shape before. If it’s a fuse head, what kind is it? And is it safe? Does it still have a charge inside? AOK4 Posted 19 August , 2019 Share Posted 19 August , 2019 (edited) MOD Note: We can't get in to safety for various reasons but it it can be taken as a suggestion of what it may be. ... it is a transport screw which was screwed on shells during transport. It was replaced with an actual fuze just before the shell was fired. Jan Edited 19 August , 2019 by ss002d6252
