Admin spof Posted 22 July , 2019 Admin Share Posted 22 July , 2019 We are pleased to announce 2 new members of the Admin Team, Please welcome RussT Russ is nearing retirement as a Nuclear Safety Engineer. He has an interest in the Great War generally and specifically enjoys the challenge of trying to re-construct the basic military service of soldiers for whose service records have been lost. His other interests include all forms of sport with participation now confined solely to the comfort of the armchair ! and Kenf48 Ken retired as a Detective Superintendent from the Metropolitan Police twenty years ago. A keen motorcyclist he has toured the battlefields in France and Belgium many times. He is an observer for the IAM and holds the RoSPA Diploma in Advanced Motorcycle Instruction. On retirement he worked in road safety with the emphasis on cycling and motorcycling, he is also a qualified cycle instructor. A confirmed petrolhead he has a degree in environmental science which he studied as he was curious to know if he was really contributing to the destruction of the planet. He and his wife share their home with two standard poodles and they all participate in obedience competitions travelling many miles in their motorhome to do so. Ken joined the forum ten years ago when investigating his own family history but has developed that interest mainly into the social and cultural aspects of the conflict and its aftermath.
