A census was conducted under this Act to establish the numbers, ages and occupations of the male population.

Does anyone know whether these lists still exist? and if so where are they.

Some background here.

Most were destroyed by 1921 it seems.

However, The NA suggests they have some, here.....https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C13353

As I understand it this correspondence relating to the register and how it was administered, specimen forms etc, rather than any part of the register itself which would (if it survived) form a series of its own in the same way that the 1939 Register is series RG 101.
