Best to tell us what you already know, in order to save us from searching for information about what you already have.

Date of birth, where was he from, any family details, etc.

He was born at Bootle and originally enlisted in the 15th Battalion (Bantams) at Bebington, but he only served in France with the 9th Battalion

Find my Past has a medical record for Arthur. Admitted to No3 Casualty Clearing Station 4/11/1916 with multiple gunshot wounds , from which he died.

Tha battalion were in the trench line north of Thiepval from 2 Nov 1916 to 5 Nov 1916.  The war diary (here on Ancestry) https://www.ancestry.co.uk/interactive/60779/43112_2090_0-00000?backurl=&ssrc=&backlabel=Return#?imageId=43112_2090_0-00559 or National Archives at WO 95/2090/1 records intense shelling each day with a number of men killed and about 23 wounded.  The medical record referred to above has other men of 9 Cheshires admitted at about the same time.
