4424 Sgt J. Fox Notts & Derby Regt.

Greetings from  a wet  and soggy Sherwood Forest.

Another very long shot.

I have a G v R  Regular Army Long Service and Good Conduct medal to 4424   Sgt  J . Fox   Notts & Derby Regt.

Despite all my efforts I can find nothing about him at all except that he served as a Private  in the 2nd Derbyshire Regt  in India

and received the 1895  India General Service medal with bars Tirah 1897-8 and Punjab Frontier 1897-8.

And that is it, nothing else . He must have done Great War service .

So , once again if any of you good folk can add anything else I will be most grateful.    As always.
