I’m only looking at the image on my phone, but possibly Devonshire Regiment?

Hi Michelle...more likely to be a Scottish Regiment but certainly will give this due consideration.   Thanks

ASC? (The man with 2 wound strips and Good conduct chevron definitely looks like ASC)

I assume that you say that as it’s a family member who cane from Scotland? Doesn’t always follow that they served in a local regiment.

Do you have a name?

Michelle

A closer image of the cap badge would help, please.

Star shaped badge of those dimensions, short but large letter shoulder titles, and 03 pattern equipment waist-belts suggests that they are almost certainly Army Service Corps.  There were ASC units all over Britain, including Scotland, as well as Ireland.

His name was John Russell from Ayrshire.    I have attempted to get a closer picture of the badge but it is not clear

I agree FROGSMILE, they all have short block shoulder titles as well, the L/CPL in the front you can make out the C in ASC

Another vote for ASC for me. In the enlarged portion there's what I thought was another badge (man on the left), but on consideration I think it's probably just a distortion of light on the ASC badge.
