nfh249 Posted 30 May , 2019 Share Posted 30 May , 2019 Hi, Can anyone shed any light on the following Field Post Office markings? There is a black circular stamp with Field Post Office around the top and N M Y across the bottom with A / AP 8 / 16 in the middle, accompanied by a red triangular censor stamp No. 3652 I'm thinking the N M Y is North Midland Yeomanry i.e. North Midland Mounted Brigade (later 22nd Mounted Brigade) and based on the name of the recipient censor 3652 could be the East Riding Yeomanry? Thanks. Neil.
Admin DavidOwen Posted 30 May , 2019 Admin Share Posted 30 May , 2019 Morning Neil This thread has a publication which is available in some libraries, but possibly not one near you! Someone may be able to do a look up if they are local to one of the libraries shown? nfh249 Posted 31 May , 2019 Author Share Posted 31 May , 2019 Thanks David, unfortunately although I am back from Saudi now (need to update my profile!) I'm not likely to get to Kew anytime soon... Cheers, Neil.
Admin DavidOwen Posted 31 May , 2019 Admin Share Posted 31 May , 2019 Why not try for an inter-;ibrary loan from one of the libraries listed on the WorldCat link? They can only say no.
