The Third Battle of the Aisne, burning buildings in Romain, set on fire by German shells, 28 May 1918.  A British regimental band coming back through Cragny.  Ruins of the church and main street of Sourdon.  Soldier of the East Lancashire Regiment and his pet dog manning a ditch at Guyencourt.  Ruined junction of Rue Damour and Rue Sadi-Carnot in Ailly-sur-Noye.  Attack and taking of Cantigny by 28th Infantry Regiment, American 1st Division, supported by the French 5th Tank Battalion (Saint-Chamond tanks), 28 May 1918.

NB: minor point - the tanks that supported the American attack on Cantigny were Schneiders, not St Chamonds.
