Waggoner Posted 21 May , 2019 Share Posted 21 May , 2019 Hello. I am trying to locate a copy of this document - “Report on Base Supply Depots and the Working of Supply Distribution on the Line of Communication by Lieut.-Col. Beaton.” Can anyone help? seaJane Posted 10 June , 2019 Share Posted 10 June , 2019 Baffled so far. Any advance on Beaton for the man's name?

Waggoner Posted 10 June , 2019 Author Share Posted 10 June , 2019 I would think R.H. Beaton, author of Vol. II of the History of the RASC. All the best, Gary

seaJane Posted 10 June , 2019 Share Posted 10 June , 2019 Confirming Ron's post: Col. R. H. Beadon is the correct spelling. Still trying to track down the report.
seaJane Posted 10 June , 2019 Share Posted 10 June , 2019 The Royal Logistics Corps (successor unit) has a museum and archive but, like every forces museum there is or so it seems, can't physically help people till 2021 due to relocation. I have run "base supply depots" as a phrase search in their online pay per view archive, and there is a 1919 article in the RASC Journal that might be the one, but I haven't paid to confirm that. At present I can't find another holder of the RASC Journal. More later if I don't flag.
Waggoner Posted 10 June , 2019 Author Share Posted 10 June , 2019 Thank you. I haven’t seen it referenced in his Vol. II. I have asked the RLC Archives but they are busy moving or something, so no reply as yet. All the best, Gary
