Guest Posted 10 May , 2019 Share Posted 10 May , 2019 Dear, in the photo is one of the brothers of my great grandma. His name was Ludwik Bielak, born in Bolechowice (Galicja) in 1895. He was in Austro- Hungarian Army but this is the only thing I know about his military carrier. So I decided to write to you as a specialist. Could you tell me if we can say from the photo? what range he was and what is also important to me what medals he had on his uniform? I am curious especially about the round emblemat that looks like a badge. I would be very gratefull for any information you can write me. Admin DavidOwen Posted 10 May , 2019 Admin Share Posted 10 May , 2019 Kori is asking for help concerning the medals shown on the photo. The link seems ok. Medal experts needed. Hopefully they may turn out to be ww1 medals Welcome to the forum Kori. (Investigating why text displays as it does)

Gardenerbill Posted 10 May , 2019 Share Posted 10 May , 2019 Could be Serbian. The Serbian medals also have triangular ribbons.
charlie2 Posted 10 May , 2019 Share Posted 10 May , 2019 Not the answer to the question but he isn‘t listed in the Austro-Hungarian casualty lists so it looks like he survived the war unscathed.
