George Rayner Posted 29 April , 2019 Share Posted 29 April , 2019 (edited) This soldier purports to be Herbert Miller b 1897 d 1965 from Nottingham. I can't find his records but hoped that this-the only photo I have-can be of help. Any ideas about regiment etc please George Edited 29 April , 2019 by George Rayner Missed photo out! CorporalPunishment Posted 29 April , 2019 Share Posted 29 April , 2019 I think he could be South Nottinghamshire Hussars. Pete.
FROGSMILE Posted 29 April , 2019 Share Posted 29 April , 2019 (edited) I agree with Pete that the shape of the badge in the photo, although indistinct, chimes with that of the SNH, although I would not have expected to see 1914 leather equipment. Usually 1903 Bandolier Equipment was the norm. 2 minutes ago, FROGSMILE said: Edited 29 April , 2019 by FROGSMILE
FROGSMILE Posted 29 April , 2019 Share Posted 29 April , 2019 The other obvious contender, the Notts and Derby Regiment does not seem so likely when comparing badges.
George Rayner Posted 2 May , 2019 Author Share Posted 2 May , 2019 Thanks for sharing your knowledge and thoughts. Now all I need to do is track his records. George

George It might help confirm things if you could try to post a picture focusing in on just his cap of the optimum size that you can manage.
