andrew p smith Posted 12 April , 2019 Share Posted 12 April , 2019 (edited) Just wondering if its at all possible to determine some info regarding my Grandads' service # and if its possible to know what battalion he served with by reference to his service # (62410) and if thru that # it could give an indication when he joined the KOYLI' as initially he had started off his military service with the Northumberland Fusiliers #65999 (again trying to determine his details for this Regt too)...any advice/info is greatly appreciated...basically does the #6 denote 6th battalion in both these cases 65999 & 62410? I've attached some images of his wartime certificate and medal card and also of the man himself in Home Guard guise also the group photo is shows Oliver on the left with two other Northumberland Fusiliers pals Edited 13 April , 2019 by andrew p smith additional photo
