DavidIsby Posted 22 March , 2019 Share Posted 22 March , 2019 The Royal Naval Air Service put a great emphasis on bringing as much as possible of your aircraft back even if you could not fly it home. Considering that many RNAS sorties ended up in seawater on a regular basis, this is certainly a reasonable policy. But was this explicitly laid down as an order, direction or other top-down policy or was it a shared expectation?
